His and hers recreational
centre is a cooperatively owned centre situated at 44A, Ballybane Industrial
Estate, Galway in the republic of Ireland. This co-operative recreational
centre is owned and controlled by eight members with common goals of assisting
themselves and their community by following the principles and ideas of
co-operative society. This type of recreational centre is the first to be owned
by a cooperative society not only in Galway but in the whole of the republic of
Ireland. The initiative of setting up this type of centre comes through the
chairperson of the cooperative society Mrs Bola Olajide.Who after returning from a holiday visit to
the United States of America developed interest in setting the kind of
recreational project she saw while she was in the United States in Ireland. The
project of the creation of the recreational centre for the people of Galway and
its environs started in 2009 and was formerly launched on 1st of May 2010. The Centre Specializes in organising a dance
class for student, teaching people how to use some musical instruments, renting
the space out for functions and providing recreational and relaxing environment
for people of the community.
